I have worked at Johnsons since undertaking a 10 week placement at the Mansfield Office during my second year of my undergraduate degree. I was then offered a permanent position in August 2023. During this time I have become an accredited police station representative and have since moved to our Crown Court department in September 2024 in which I litigate a variety of cases including domestic assaults, sexual offences and drug offences. I have a particular interest in litigating cases in which the defendant may be vulnerable and requires extra support throughout their proceedings.

I graduated with a law degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2024 and I am now completing the Legal Practice Course alongside a Masters in Law whilst completing my training contract. Once I qualify I hope to progress into a Higher Court Advocate and continue my work within the Crown Court Department.

David Randall

Caseworker (Derby)

Dave has literally seen it all. He joined the legal profession straight from school and has amassed a little too close to 40 years experience than he might like. He still feels as enthusiastic about obtaining the best possible results than he did on his first day. From murder and manslaughter to organised crime and award winning celebrities there is very little that would surprise shock or phase him.
